Server Files Settings​

After logging in with FileZilla:

  1. Open the /home/gdb_serverfiles/main folder.
  2. Edit the gen_settings.py file with Notepad.
  3. Replace the following IP addresses with your own IP address and save:

After logging in with PuTTY:
  • Run the following commands in order:

After these steps, the settings for your IP address will be completed and the channels will be activated.

Compiling Server Source and Starting the Game​

After logging in via PuTTY:
  1. To compile the server source files:

    cd /home/gdb-source-server/Srcs/Server 
gmake clean 
gmake all -j4
  2. To compile Quest files:
    Kod: 
    cd /home/gdb-source-server/Srcs/Server/game/src/quest 
gmake clean 
gmake
  3. Make the necessary settings via the admin panel:

python admin_panel.py

    Note: Do not start the game without compiling the server source!

Compiling Client Source​

  1. Go to the source-client/Srcs/Client folder.
  2. Right-click on the Metin2Client.sln file and open it using the "Open with -> Visual Studio Version Selector" option.
  3. Confirm the warnings with Yes/OK .
  4. Right-click on the Metin2Client Solution (16/16) project and:
    • Select Clean Solution .
    • Do the Batch Compile -> Select All -> Recompile process.
      (You can only select the "Release" ones if you wish.)

VERSION UPDATES AND INNOVATIONS​

GENERAL UPDATES​

  • Switched from FreeBSD 13.2 to FreeBSD 14.0 .
  • Martysama v5.8 Ikarus v2 Offline Shop PRO version has been upgraded. (The cleanest and most up-to-date version)
  • Ikarus v2 Offline Shop Pro has been upgraded to the ULTIMATE version. (Integrated with the Won system)
  • Bugs on the Offline Shop have been fixed. (Item deletion etc. issues have been fixed.)
  • Added Mali Multi Language PREMIUM version.
  • NPC coordinates can now be retrieved from the Client. ( ENABLE_GF_ATLAS_MARK_INFO has been enabled.)

UPDATE-2.1: 02.11.2024​

  • GMs can teleport by clicking on the map on the minimap (M key).

UPDATE-2.2: 11.03.2024​

  • The official character information window has been opened. ( Opens with the C key.)
  • Bonus window added.

UPDATE-2.3: 11.03.2024​

  • Fixed issues with the alchemy system:
    • Fixed an issue where Enchantments were not appearing.
    • Fixed the Game.core error that occurred during the installation/removal process .
  • Added Mitsi Alchemy .

UPDATE-2.4: 08.11.2024 (14.28)​

  • Multi-Language System has been upgraded to ULTIMATE version!
  • Switched to the official locale_string system. It's now retrieved via the client.
  • 16 languages are supported with a single translate.lua file . Task content is retrieved from the client.
  • Mitsi Alchemy has been added to the Shop Search system.
  • 5% has been removed from Generation Absorption Rates in the Shop Search system . Other rates remain the same.

UPDATE-2.5: 13.11.2024 (12.30)​

  • Most of the GetMotionFileName: Motion:'' and LoadMotion: cannot find accumulation data in file errors have been fixed.
  • Increased view range. (CONFIG edit)
  • Fixed the slow loading issue of some Mount-based creatures.
  • Maximum yang limit increased.
  • Mob Targeting system activated.
  • Element Targeting has been disabled (Left for future update).
  • Emojitextline feature has been activated for some objects .
  • Adjustments to the Won system have been postponed to the next update.
  • The Lycan class has been disabled.
    • Lycan bonuses were removed from the item_attrr file and backed up under the name item_attr_wolfman .
  • Most of the reported issues have been fixed.
